Job Summary

The specialist, eCommerce Availability is responsible for helping to manage product availability on BN.com with the aim of selling a larger range of books and at better margins. This includes working with the Manager, eCommerce Availability on site and program eligibility rules across BN.com, as well as other unique storefronts supported by BN. In addition, this individual will focus on expanded availability, messaging, and order taking using publisher inventory, establishing Vendor to DC as part of our eCommerce fulfillment network.

An employee in this position can expect a starting rate of $65,000 annually, depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.

What You Do

• Help manage availability on BN.com with a focus on selling more quality books from the best sourcing option and at the right price to maximize profitability; ensure clear and accurate customer messaging around available dates and shipping timeframes.
• Assist in rectifying gaps and inconsistences in biblio and catalog data across BN and sister companies to ensure best offering
• Monitor dynamic pricing rules around margin, competitor offerings, and pricing related contacts in partnership with CS
• Support site and program (i.e. store, 3PV) eligibility and inventory exposure rules by chain including
• Execute item level settings
• System Enhancements and testing
• Facilitate business decisions and rules based on product attributes
• Support day-to-day fulfillment of eCommerce orders using publisher inventory including
• Vendor onboarding and inventory feed set up
• Relationship/performance management for publisher partners
• Order to delivery life cycle, minimized cancellations
• Partnership with Buying, Inventory control, CS, IT and publishers to ensure resolution on open orders with appropriate customer communications
• Maintain reporting for high level program metrics and order level detail
• Ongoing process improvements, enhancement projects, troubleshooting
• Front-end customer available/delivery date messaging and fulfillment options
• Publisher prioritization within our sourcing logic

Knowledge & Experience

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high quality output simultaneously
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong project and/or product management skills
• Works with a strong sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables
• Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated expertise working with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2+ years proven experience in eCommerce/Digital operations and Retail/Store.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
