Job Summary:
Registered Medication Aides provide accurate medication administration and quality care to clients and maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of a licensed registered nurse.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepping and administering client specific routine and PRN medications as directed.
- Verifying the right person, drug, dose, route, and time against the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
- Documenting interventions, vital signs, or other data related to medication administration.
- Maintaining confidentiality of clients.
- Reporting to the supervising nurse with any client issues or concerns.
- Assisting clients with activities of daily life (ADLs), as needed.
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Registered with the Board of Virginia as a Medication Aide.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a registered medication aide role.
- Mental health and residential substance use disorder program experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work independently and with a team.

Job Type: Full-time, direct care position, 40 hours per week, 7:00am-3:30pm or 3:00-11:30pm, some holidays and weekends
