ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Learn the fundamentals of tool and die maintenance, trouble shooting and die repair

· Read and interpret technical drawings

· Operate and maintain various machines and hand tools used in the trade

· Assist in the manufacturing machining area, press calls and die maintenance

· Inspect finished products and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy

· Collaborate with senior tool and die makers to troubleshoot and resolve issues

· Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements:

· Trade school certification required

· Basic knowledge of math, including algebra and geometry

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

· Good dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and mechanical skills

· Willingness to work with heavy machinery and tools

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

· Good communication and teamwork skills

· Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tool and die makers, machinist and engineers

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to bend, stoop, lift and move objects, occasionally lifting some objects weighing up to 40 pounds

· Stand on antifatigue matting and walk on concrete continuously throughout a (ten) 10-hour shift
