Pay Rate: $18.73/hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shifts
Overtime: ESA (Overtime after 44 hours/week)

About the Role
As a Security Patrol, you’ll be an essential member of the hospital’s safety team — conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This role demands vigilance, strong communication, and a calm, empathetic approach to managing stressful or sensitive situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of hospital premises, including entrances, hallways, and parking areas.
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems; promptly report suspicious activity.
- Control access to restricted areas and ensure only authorized personnel are admitted.
- Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or security threats.
- De-escalate tense or emotional situations calmly and professionally.
- Assist hospital staff during crises, evacuations, or patient transport.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when required.
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.
- Promote a welcoming, respectful, and safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Requirements
Must-Have Criteria
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C (WSIB approved) certification
- Two doses of COVID-19 vaccine
- Proof of up-to-date immunization records (MMR, Varicella, TB test)
- Must pass Vulnerable Sector Check
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
- Willingness to complete N95 Mask Fit Testing during training
- Ability to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) — training available if not yet completed
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
