Location: 70 The Pond Road, Toronto, ON
Pay Rate: $22.00–$23.50/hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Continental Rotation (12-hour shifts: 06:30–18:30 / 18:30–06:30)
Overtime: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

About the Role

As a Security Team Lead at Seneca Polytechnic – York Campus, you’ll be responsible for leading daily security operations, coordinating guard teams, and maintaining a safe, professional, and inclusive campus environment. You will supervise incident response, ensure compliance with university protocols, and support cross-campus collaboration with York University security partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Security Guard activities across academic, residential, and event spaces
• Monitor patrols, access control, and response procedures
• Lead incident investigations and complete accurate reports
• Collaborate with York University Security and other partners
• Mentor new team members and facilitate on-site training
• Support campus events, VIP visits, and special activities
• Uphold Seneca and York U security policies and protocols
• Promote teamwork, inclusion, and professionalism within the team

Requirements

Must-Have Criteria

• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR certification
• Minimum 2 years of security experience
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
• Ability to handle diverse and fast-paced environments
• Must not be a current Seneca student

Nice-to-Have (Preferred)

• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
• Post-secondary or healthcare security experience
