Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Fighters Programs has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and self-motivated Program Manager (Level K) to oversee the modification line supporting the Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS) electronic warfare system for the USAF F-15 program. This position is located in San Antonio, TX.

The program effort is focused on the EPAWSS Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) effort.  This person will collaborate across BGS & BDS functional organizations to lead the integrated execution of aircraft modification located at Boeing San Antonio modification center as well as continuing our support of USAF depot activities at Robins AFB, Georgia. Our team is looking for a leader skilled within the program management discipline and with the ability to navigate a fast-paced program, to bring a great attitude that can successfully lead this modification and production effort.  This person will manage a small team of direct reports.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing business management activities in the area of Program Management.
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions or initiatives
  • 3+ years’ experience in Program Management Best Practices (Requirements Management, Resource Management, Integrated Planning and Scheduling, Financial Oversight (EVM), Program Performance Management, Supplier Integration, RIO (Risk, Issue, Opportunity) Management, Program Communication, Senior Leadership Reviews, etc.)
  • 1+ years’ experience working with aircraft modification and /or maintenance
  • Experience working contracts with U.S. Department of Defense and/or Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Experience developing & maintaining relationships with senior executives and stakeholders
  • Experience partnering with the production operations function for program success
  • Experience working within aircraft modification at the Boeing San Antonio site

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel: Willing to travel domestically up to 10% of the time

Level K Manager: $126,650 - $171,350
