Summary 

We are seeking a results-driven Continuous Improvement Manager to lead Lean transformation initiatives across our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for identifying inefficiencies, driving process improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing principles.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Lean initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, improve safety, and enhance product quality.
  • Lead a team of technicians to implement production line improvements utilizing lean principles and leveraging employee feedback to drive employee empowerment and engagement in continuous improvement culture.
  • Conduct value stream mapping, analyzing production data trends, root cause analysis (8D, fishbone, 5 whys, etc.), and Kaizen workshops to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Train and mentor employees at all levels on Lean tools such as 5S, Kanban, 3P, waste elimination, and standard work.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement throughout the company.
  • Facilitate cross functional collaboration by partnering with design engineering, safety, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to align improvement efforts with strategic goals.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs and performance metrics to track progress of CI initiatives, including regularly reporting results to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support new product hand-off to Production including production line setup, test equipment configuration, and manufacturing assembly/test operator training.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 7+ years in manufacturing with 3+ years in continuous improvement or Lean roles.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
  • Proven success leading Lean initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, project management, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills for articulating technical approaches and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working and communicating with test equipment such as voltmeters, data acquisition systems, o-scopes, load banks and similar instruments to make manual and automated measurements.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in Lean methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, A3, DMAIC).
  • ERP and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Ability to influence and lead change across all levels of the organization.
  • Direct experience with electrical equipment or electronics manufacturing.
  • More advanced ability in software programming and coding.

 

Location: This position is located on-site in Longmont, CO.

 

Base Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000 is the projected compensation range for this role depending on the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience.
