Associate Manager Customs and Foreign Trade NA
Location: Amherst, NY 
The salary for this position starts at $70,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications and location.  Final compensation will be determined during the interview process

Are you passionate about global logistics, trade compliance, and customs operations?  Join our team at Ivoclar as an Associate Manager, Customs & Foreign Trade for North America.  You'll ensure a smooth import/export processes, maintain compliance with international trade regulations, and collaborate with global supply chain partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customs documentation, tariff classification, and trade compliance programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, organize and maintain department control in support of executing corporate and departmental business objectives that ensures productivity, goal achievement, budget and forecast adherence and allows for effective and efficient operations. Managing the customers & foreign trade compliance for our US & Canadian facilities.
  • Coordination & execution of tariff classifications for US & CA
  • Managing local customs procedures/in alignment with GCFT, including contribution to selection and appointment of custom brokers
  • Collecting, controlling & archiving customs clearance documents.
  • Monitoring customs costs (duty payments and admin costs), supporting GCFT Analysis (Gross Container Freight Tariff)
  • Documentation & reporting of GCFT (Gross Container Freight Tariff)
  • Maintain strong relationships with import agents, collaborate to resolve shipping delays,
  • Assign country of origin and appropriate harmonized tariff classification numbers to purchased products in ERP systems.
  • Submit carrier claims for lost and damaged deliveries

Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in customs, global logistics or supply chain required.
  • BS Degree in Business, logistics, Supply Chain and or related field preferred
  • Experience in auditing entries and tariff classifications
  • CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) or licensed Customs Broker (LCB) strongly preferred
  • Highly motivated individual that is able to work independently with a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • PC Proficiency with intermediate of Microsoft Office
  • SAP experience a Plus
  • Ability to travel (10%)
