Manager of Alumni and Community Engagement

JOB PURPOSE

This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing comprehensive engagement and community engagement strategies to secure time, treasure, and talent from the Leadership Foundation alumni community and board of directors. The Manager of Alumni and Community Engagement will develop and maintain relationships with alumni and strategic partners to maximize awareness and foundation impact. This position works closely with the leadership team to align engagement goals with organizational priorities and collaborates with the events and marketing teams to create compelling engagement and relationship-building opportunities.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead planning for programming and events develop alumni and community events.
  • Alumni and strategic partners
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential major donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations
  • Develop and implement comprehensive alumni strategies to meet engagement goals
  • Work with the marketing team to create persuasive marketing materials, and presentations
  • Promote alumni events on social media, develop and social media strategy
  • Research grant opportunities and manage the grant application and reporting process
  • Track and analyze fundraising metrics to measure effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Develop and manage the annual alumni budget

 Alumni /Engagement:

  • Build engagement and maintain strong relationships with existing alumni
  • Recruit current program participants to Alumni Community
  • Implement Alumni recognition programs and stewardship activities
  • Create and maintain donor communication plans, including regular updates and impact reports
  • Oversee alumni and community database management, ensuring accurate record-keeping and data integrity
  • Develop and execute alumni acquisition and retention strategies

 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Non-Profit Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in fundraising, development, or related field
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding fundraising goals
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles, strategies, and best practices
  • Experience with donor management software (Salesforce experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce, Project management software and digital fundraising platforms
  • Understanding and support for the advocacy of pro-business initiatives that support the members we serve
  • Experience with grant writing and corporate sponsorship solicitation preferred
  • Business office environment with professional work attire required in the office and for attendance of all programs, events and/or department meetings
  • Must be able to travel efficiently to off-site meeting locations throughout the city if required
  • This individual will need to work outside the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to attend networking events, donor meetings, and fundraising activities. These off-hour occasions are typically planned and known in advance.
