Summary:
The Kogod School of Business, recognized as a leader in sustainability, is accelerating its impact through a new strategic initiative. We are seeking a motivated Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) to support research, analysis, and communication activities that advance Kogod’s sustainability mission. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects in a collaborative academic environment focused on sustainability and social impact.
Essential Functions:
Analyze sustainability-related data to inform decision-making and engagement strategies.
Create communication materials, including reports, briefs, and presentations, tailored for diverse audiences.
Collaborate on team-based research projects, often with tight deadlines and evolving priorities.
Conduct literature reviews and synthesize findings to support strategic initiatives and academic publications.
Assist with stakeholder engagement and project coordination as directed by faculty supervisors.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
Student.
5 -10 hours per week (flexibility to accommodate academic schedules).
Salary Range:
$18.50 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Current enrollment in a graduate degree program at American University.
Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Ability to meet deadlines independently while maintaining high-quality work.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience designing infographics and visual materials to communicate data effectively.
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in stakeholder engagement.
Familiarity with sustainability metrics, frameworks, or reporting tools preferred.
