Description

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Lead to join our Human Resources team. This role will involve leading employee relations, addressing employee issues and concerns, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and maintaining a positive workplace environment.

 

Duties

  • Lead the employee relations function, including handling employee grievances, disputes, and provide feedback and resolution.
  • Provide guidance and advice to management and staff on employee relations matters.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to employee relations.
  • Conduct investigations into workplace issues and complaints and provide feedback and resolution.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and mediate workplace disputes.
  • Ensure legal compliance in all employee relations activities.
  • Develop strategies to improve employee engagement and retention. Or: Assist in developing programs that promote a positive workplace culture
  • Recommend disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintain records of disciplinary issues and resolutions.
  • Work with employment lawyers on legal proceedings.
  • Create documentation for PIP, termination language, and standard forms for termination/resignation process.
  • Lead the offboarding and separation process.
  • Facilitate Employment Engagement including but not limited to celebratory and merit-based award tracking and maintenance.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends.
  • Support the performance appraisal process.
  • Provide training to managers and employees on topics related to conflict resolution, communication, and workplace behavior.

 

 SKILL SET

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of understanding of human resource functions
  • Proficient with operating a Human Resource Information System
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 and other identified company software tools
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resource/employee relations experience or combination of experience and education
  • SHRM-CP/or SHRMSCP, or PHR/SPHR certified preferred
