Job Summary
The Coordinator of Recruitment and Talent Management supports the development, implementation, and oversight of recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies for Highlands Community Charter and Technical Schools. This position plays a key role in ensuring an efficient and equitable hiring process, cultivating diverse talent pipelines, and supporting employee retention through data-driven practices. The Coordinator serves as a resource to school leaders, hiring managers, and HR staff to ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies while providing excellent customer service to applicants and employees.

Requirements / Qualifications

. Bachelor’s degree in personnel, business/public administration, human resources, or a related field.
. Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in recruitment, human resources, or personnel management (experience in K–12 or adult education setting preferred).
. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
. This position requires regular travel between sites. A valid driver’s license, personal automobile, and proof of insurance. Knowledge of:
. Principles and practices of recruitment, selection, and retention.
. Personnel administration, contract interpretation, and compliance requirements.
. Interview and selection techniques aligned with equitable hiring practices.
. California Education Code and other applicable employment laws.
. Collective bargaining agreements and labor relations basics.
. Data collection, analysis, and reporting methods.
. Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and HR information systems. Ability to:
. Coordinate multiple recruitment and talent management functions effectively.
. Analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
. Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
. Build and maintain cooperative relationships with diverse staff and community partners.
. Work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Info
$85,900 - $115,115 (7 Steps)
