Your new team
This position sits in our Pernod Ricard UK (PRUK) business. As Head of Total Reward, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of compensation, benefits, and reward programs for Pernod Ricard in the UK Colleagues. You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing competitive total rewards strategies, fostering a positive employee experience, and supporting the company's talent retention and attraction efforts.
You will also be responsible for managing and developing a high-performing Total Rewards team; foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Your unique contribution
Your main areas of responsibility are:
- Compensation
- Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of our Total Rewards strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market best practices.
- Oversee all aspects of global compensation, benefits, and equity (Accelerate, ESOP, PRSS, LTI) programs.
- Partner with top management and the HR leadership team to support rewards communication and policy development.
- Lead the annual compensation processes.
- Provide deep market insights and analytics to support executive decision-making.
- Ensure that compensation practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on compensation and benefits trends and initiatives.
- Conduct audits, including Gender & Ethnicity Pay Gap reporting, Equal pay, Minimum wage, and Living wage accreditation.
- Communicate changes and updates in compensation and benefits programs to employees effectively.
- Benefits and International Mobility
- Oversee the management and administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to the benefits offering to enhance the employee satisfaction and retention
- Develop and manage recognition programs to motivate and engage employees.
- Stay up-to-date with legislation and regulations related to benefits, ensuring the company's compliance.
- Communicate changes and updates in compensation and benefits programs to employees effectively.
- Design and manage global mobility policies, ensuring compliance, cost control and a positive relocation experience for employees and their families
- HR Controlling
- Leading a team responsible for overseeing HR financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis of workforce costs, benefits, and operational expenses.
- Monitoring performance against budget, provide actionable insights and reporting to senior leadership, manage headcount and FTEs, and ensure HR strategies are financially aligned with overall business objectives.
Who you’ll be working with
Internally, your main stakeholders will be your team members within the Reward CoE (Global Mobility Manager, Benefits Partner, Compensation Manager, HR Controlling Manager and the HR Intern), your colleagues in the wider HR team (HR Business Partners, Talent Attraction CoE and Talent & Learning CoE) and line managers throughout the business.
Externally, you will interface with external partners.
Your blend of talent
You will have:
- Significant experience within global/international total rewards/compensation, within a large matrixed organization
- A consultative mindset and client-centric approach to problem solving with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Advanced proficiency in both PowerPoint and Excel, including the ability to bring a story to life through executive presentations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively and confidently with diverse, senior level stakeholders locally and globally.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a high level of adaptability to different contexts
- A proven track record in developing and implementing innovative compensation and benefits program aligned with business goals, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of compensation program design, including base salary structures, incentives, and equity plans
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
- Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities
- A strategic mindset and a forward-thinking approach to reward and recognition
