We are currently looking for a Process Control Engineer to join our Process team based in our gigafactory at Bourbourg.
The role involves designing, automating, and continuously improving control programs for production equipment. It requires close and prompt collaboration with machine manufacturers to implement emergency responses and drive effective improvement measures. Essential competencies include the ability to analyze and troubleshoot PLC, SERVO, and HMI programs and communication protocols, particularly those based on Mitsubishi and Siemens platforms. You must also be capable of performing dynamic analysis of mechanical structures and integrating the results into control program logic. Furthermore, the ability to identify or propose programmable design architectures suitable for automation is critical to success in this role.
Missions :
Process Design & Troubleshooting: Optimize machine performance and implement improvements.
Project Support: Support process improvement and project expansion, and track schedules and resources.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: coordinate with production, quality, and supply chain teams.
Technical Guidance: provide recommendations to operators and team members.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure process adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
Reporting & Analysis: Maintain process documentation and provide updates on KPIs and performance metrics.
Supervision: Support machine operations and guide operators as needed.
Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement process solutions.
Project Support: Support machine improvements and project expansion.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Monitor machine performance, recommend improvements, and optimize efficiency and quality.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or a related field (entry-level acceptable with relevant internships or co-ops).
Exposure to process improvement, industrialization, or production support during studies or early career.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production methods.
Knowledge of process engineering, process optimization, troubleshooting, project support, regulatory compliance, Lean/Six Sigma principles, data analysis, simulation tools.
Basic understanding of quality systems (ISO, GMP, or industry-specific standards).
Familiarity with engineering tools: CAD software, process mapping, and basic statistical analysis (Excel, Minitab, or similar).
Ability to conduct root cause analysis and support corrective/preventive actions.
