Your mission:

An internship offer entitled “Engineering internship - Measurements and processing of gas sensor data" has just opened within Airbus Commercial, located in Toulouse, France.

It will consist in setting up testing methods, carrying out measurements and processing the data.

The development of numerical models will be necessary for the processing and extraction of the desired metrics such as gas concentration, temperature, etc.

This internship of 5 months will start in March 2026.

This position requires a security clearance or requires to be eligible for clearance by recognized authorities.

You will join the service “Physical measurement” in charge of sensor systems for  flight test instrumentation.

One of the roles of the team is to develop gas and humidity sensors and analyzers for aeronautical applications.

Some are integrated analyzers (pump system, sensors and display) and others are based on remote sensing.
 

Your main missions will consist in:

• Operational handling of the gas test bench.

• Definition and implementation of test plans.

• Setting up the experimental plan and preparing sensors/analyzers for testing.

• Development of digital models for data processing.

• Writing test reports.

• Implementation of standardized evaluation procedures for our sensors.

• Promote and present features and testing opportunities to other members of the department.

Your tutor who will help you identify your professional objectives and develop your skills (following).

Your boarding pass:

You are in your final year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering

You possess the following competences:

Technical skills:

• Theoretical knowledge of physicochemical measurements

• Mastery of signal processing tools (Eg. Matlab)

• Master recent modeling tools and programming languages

• Applied and Numerical Mathematics

• Knowledge of optics, physics and instrumentation

Soft skills:

• Autonomy

• Analytical and synthetic mindset

• Team spirit

• Manual, curious, common sense

Language skills:

• Advanced level of English.
