Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Fuel Product Quality Specialist on a permanent basis on our Energy Sales & Operations team.
This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, SK.

Are you passionate about fuel innovation and quality? Join FCL as a Senior Fuel Product Quality Specialist and lead the charge in ensuring top-tier fuel performance, compliance, and customer confidence across Western Canada.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead resolution of fuel quality issues by collaborating with cross-functional teams including refinery labs, supply, and distribution, while maintaining detailed documentation for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by staying ahead of fuel regulations (e.g., Canada Clean Fuel Regulations, BC Low Carbon Fuel Standard) and acting as a Subject Matter Expert for Local Co-ops. 
  • Support Co-ops through training and best practices, delivering technical education and implementing fuel handling and storage standards to maintain product integrity.
  • Oversee DEF and TOP TIER programs, ensuring Local Co-ops meet industry and regulatory standards through effective management of operations, vendor relationships, and certification requirements. 
  • Provide technical guidance on DEF storage, handling, and dispensing, while maintaining expert-level knowledge to enhance Co-op competitiveness. 
  • Manage fuel documentation and supplier collaboration, including compliance materials (e.g., PDSs, SDSs) and marketing initiatives with additive suppliers.
  • Support fuel portfolio development by assessing and implementing new or modified fuel offerings, including operational rollout of renewable blends like E85. 
  • Maintain strong technical expertise through collaboration with additive suppliers, the Co-op Refinery Complex, and Local Co-ops to ensure successful adoption and market alignment.

Who you’ll work with:
The Team: You will work closely with refinery laboratory specialists, distribution teams, zone petroleum team members and local Co-ops and will report into the Senior Manager, Energy Products Marketing. 

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions across FCL and act as a liaison between Energy Marketing and Government Relations, Petroleum Additive Supplies, CRC, and local Co-ops, fostering communication and collaboration to ensure seamless fuel portfolio and fuel quality management.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:

  • Have 6-9 years in fuel or product quality management, product compliance or Petroleum marketing; a strong understanding of Canada Fuel Regulatory framework is considered an asset.
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry or Environmental Science (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have excellent communication and training skills with the ability to educate non-technical stakeholders.
