L. Knife & Son has an excellent full-time opportunity in our warehouse department with great benefits.
We are looking for a Full Time, day shift Custodian. This position is a hands-on, entry level role that will provide you valuable knowledge and experience in the beverage and distribution industry. This individual is responsible for the cleaning and maintaining our facility.
We are looking for an energetic individual with a strong work ethic and a strong sense of responsibility to join and contribute to our team. This individual will be expected to work Monday through Friday first shift. Prior custodian/warehouse experience is not required for this position. Entry level candidates with minimal experience are encouraged to apply.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain our facility to comply with company standards for a clean working environment
- Clean offices, bathrooms, stairwells and other work areas
- Sweep areas around entrances
- Perform minor maintenance including replacing light bulbs, replenish bathroom supplies and painting
- Empty/clean wastebaskets, trash containers and recycling bins
- Perform related duties as required
Requirements
- Enthusiastic, high energy, and self-motivated individual with a desire to succeed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Superior organizational skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Cleaning and/or warehouse maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Daily, punctual attendance is a requirement
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
- Ability to meet physical demands of job

EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Standard cleaning equipment and tools
CRITICAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Walking and climbing steps and stairs on an occasional basis
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs.
- Frequent exposure to warehouse environments, temperature fluctuations, and cleaning agents
- Work performed in both office environments and warehouse
