POSITION: Attendant, Terrain Park
FLSA: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Terrain Park Manger
SUMMARY: Wintergreen Resort Terrain Park Attendants are responsible for creating a fun and safe terrain park environment for all resort guests. Candidates will be able to work outside in all weather conditions in order to create and maintain the terrain park features. This may include standing for the entire shift, shoveling snow, and lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Preferred candidates will be able to ski or ride at an advanced level; skills may be assessed by department manager. Previous experience working in a terrain park is a plus.
Immediate promotion to a Lead Position is available based on performance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES
- Lead by example for a safe work environment.
- Smile and greet guests in a friendly manner.
- Report to work on time for all scheduled shifts.
- Must be in uniform when on duty.
- Follow all opening, closing, and daily operating procedures.
- Advise and assist guests as required.
- Maintain surveillance of his/her area.
- Keep work area neat and clean.
- Must follow policies and procedures outlined in the Wintergreen Handbook.
- Able to take on additional tasks and assignments assigned by the manager.
This is Seasonal Full Time or Part Time positions. Position will begin late November/early December and will end mid-March
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Should be knowledgeable and experienced in terrain park maintenance.
- Candidates must be in good physical condition, capable of walking on snow safely, and able to communicate effectively with Manager.
- Must be capable of dealing with guests in a safe, friendly, and positive manner, work outside for extended periods of time in all types of weather conditions.
- Considered applicants must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Work 10+ hour shifts
- Stand for long hours and shovel snow
- Capable of skiing or riding at an advanced level
- Must be able to walk outside in winter conditions
