About the Department

Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC)
Health & Human Services – Behavioral Health Division

Lead. Heal. Inspire.

SRPMIC is seeking a visionary physician leader to guide one of the most innovative, culturally grounded Behavioral Health Divisions in Indian Country. As our next Medical Administrator/Director, you’ll help shape a full continuum of behavioral health and addiction medicine programs—from crisis stabilization and detox to residential, outpatient, and community-based recovery.

This is not your average medical leadership role. It’s a chance to lead with purpose, champion culturally rooted healing, and drive system-wide transformation in a thriving, sovereign Tribal Nation.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide medical and psychiatric leadership across inpatient, outpatient, and addiction medicine programs.
  • Supervise and mentor an exceptional team of psychiatric providers and nurse practitioners.
  • Advance culturally responsive, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care.
  • Collaborate with Tribal leadership and the River People Health Center to integrate behavioral health with primary care and community wellness.
  • Drive innovation in MAT, telepsychiatry, and integrated behavioral health systems.

Who You Are

  • A bold, compassionate MD or DO (Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine preferred).
  • A strategic thinker with a deep respect for Indigenous culture and healing practices.
  • Experienced in system development, quality improvement, and leadership.
  • Energized by innovation and ready to make a lasting impact.

Join a movement grounded in Connect. Support. Love. Hope.
At SRPMIC, you won’t just lead programs—you’ll help transform the future of behavioral health.
