Director of Human ResourcesHybrid – San Antonio, TX National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders (NALCAB), a national network of 200+ CDFIs and economic development nonprofits, is seeking a dynamic Director of Human Resources to lead and enhance our people operations. Reporting to the Executive VP & Chief Operating Officer, this role will oversee all facets of HR administration—including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and policy development. The HR Director will play a key role in shaping a positive organizational culture, driving employee engagement, and partnering with NALCAB’s PEO provider to ensure competitive compensation and benefits that support our mission-driven team. Best-in-Class Benefits and Culture: We value our employees’ time and efforts. We strive to provide a collaborative, creative environment where everyone feels encouraged to contribute to our processes, decisions, planning, and culture. To thrive, you should have: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s preferred.Minimum 7 years of professional experience leading HR functions, including talent acquisition, training, and employee relations.Solid expertise in HRIS, ATS, PEO systems, and comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.Proven ability to manage strategic planning, budgeting, and benefits administration with confidentiality and sound judgment.Exceptional communication and analytical skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus; up to 15% travel required. Your key responsibilities as the Director of HR will include:Align HR strategies with NALCAB’s strategic goals by advising leadership on talent acquisition, development, and retention.Oversee HR operations, including compliance, employee relations, investigations, and collaboration with the organization’s PEO provider.Lead and support HR staff in managing performance reviews, training initiatives, and organizational culture programs.Ensure adherence to labor laws and partner with legal counsel as needed to mitigate organizational risk.Collect and analyze HR metrics to inform workforce planning and maintain engagement with on-site and remote staff. More About Us: The National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders (NALCAB) is a one-of-a-kind national intermediary with a network of 200+ member CDFIs and nonprofit organizations that serve Latino communities across the US, DC, and Puerto Rico.
