Major/Essential Functions
- Coordinate the development, negotiation, management, and administration of contracts, subawards, MOUs, and consulting agreements to ensure compliance with Division and TTUHSC requirements.
- Support the preparation, review, and submission of grant proposals, ensuring alignment with sponsor guidelines, TTUHSC regulations, and Institute procedures; maintain accurate records and data related to all applications.
- Provide contract analysis for Division activities, working closely with General Counsel, Purchasing, the Office of Sponsored Programs, and other administrative offices as appropriate.
- Draft, track, and coordinate agreements with parties as may be necessary for the work of the Division.
- Collaborate with Division programs to collect, track, and report data related to the Division’s strategic plan; develop systems to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and timely.
- Monitor progress toward Division goals, provide performance tracking, and prepare reports for leadership; escalate issues requiring decision-making or action.
- Support divisional program planning by providing data, contract coordination, and reporting aligned with identified rural health needs.
- Develop and maintain a community needs matrix informed by input from rural partners, ensuring that identified needs are incorporated into strategic planning and program support.
- Assist the Assistant Vice Presidenet for Rural Health Policy and Engagement in serving as a liaison between the Division and external rural health care providers and related stakeholders, providing information, coordination, and feedback to support data-informed decision-making.
- Facilitate communication of community needs and priorities to internal teams to ensure alignment with Division objectives.
- Keep leadership informed of progress, trends, and potential issues related to grants, contracts, and strategic tracking; escalate matters that require action or decision-making.
- Participate in cross-divisional meetings and committees as needed to support strategic initiatives.
- Maintain documentation, records, and systems to ensure compliance with Division and TTUHSC policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of four years of combined education and experience in relevant areas (e.g., research administration, sponsored programs, grant management, program management for strategic planning, or contract development).
• Working knowledge of TTUHSC policies and procedures.
• Experience with higher education grant management, including use of systems such as Cayuse.
• Demonstrated experience in technical writing, such as grant writing and drafting agreements and contracts.
• Direct experience with the Cayuse system and sponsored programs, including successful grant writing and award attainment.
• Prior experience with writing skills for reports and grants.
• Prior experience collaborating across healthcare, government, nonprofit, and/or educational organizations.
