Job Description
The Pharmacy Program Manager for Drug Policy & Regulatory Compliance is responsible for managing and leading drug policy initiatives and regulatory compliance across UPH-Meriter to maximize medication use, practice and financial outcomes through safe, value-based medication use. This includes establishing, meeting and continuously monitoring program goals and objectives while maintaining alignment with the strategic goals and objectives for UPH-Meriter. Furthermore, the incumbent will lead efforts to reduce medication-use variation collaboratively with physicians, pharmacists and other clinicians. Specific programs include value-based formulary system management, adverse drug events, medication safety, drug shortages, drug recalls, medication related policies, clinical practice guidelines, order sets, delegation protocols, clinical decision support, and cost management. The Pharmacy Program Manager also plays a vital role in student and resident learning experiences by coordinating rotations and serving as a preceptor when applicable. Staffing commitment may be required as part of this role, which will vary based on Market needs and responsibilities.

Education:
- B.S. Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Master’s degree in pharmacy administration, healthcare administration, business, or other relevant subject area
- ASHP – Accredited PGY2 Residency or five (5) years of health-system pharmacy practice experience or other equivalent experience
- Proficiency in navigation the electronic medical record
- WI licensed pharmacist within 6-months of hire
