Job Title: Warehouse Manager                                     Name: Exempt/Salary

Reports to: Director of Operations                      Department: Operations


Position Summary:

The Warehouse Manager (Day Shift) is responsible for the overall supervision and effective operation of the shipping, receiving, and stock areas during daytime operations by performing the following duties.

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and is not entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked beyond 40 in any given workweek.

The Warehouse Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Lead, supervise, and support warehouse personnel engaged in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and documentation of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Oversee the preparation and coordination of shipments, ensuring all materials are properly packed, labeled, and documented in alignment with customer requirements and shipping regulations.
  • Review and analyze shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, invoices, orders) to establish shipping priorities, allocate labor resources, and determine the most efficient and cost-effective transportation methods.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of logistics, freight rates, and routing to optimize shipping operations and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and verify the accuracy, completeness, and condition of all inbound and outbound shipments, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management by overseeing inventory counts, managing stock levels, and coordinating with procurement on supply replenishment needs.
  • Maintain and enforce compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping or inventory discrepancies, working closely with internal departments and external partners as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other digital tools to track shipments, update records, and generate reports.
  • Provide training, performance feedback, and guidance to warehouse staff to ensure team effectiveness and professional development.
  • Collaborate with senior management to implement process improvements, control costs, and meet organizational goals.
  • Perform other duties and strategic initiatives as assigned by leadership.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 5–8 years of prior warehouse or logistics experience
