Job Summary:
 We are seeking a reliable and organized Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling fuel delivery operations, ensuring that drivers have the necessary routes, equipment, and information for safe and efficient fuel transportation. The role also involves working closely with common carriers to meet delivery demands, optimizing delivery schedules, and reviewing inventories at dealer sites to forecast future deliveries. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to manage a fast-paced environment, and a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and dispatch fuel delivery trucks and drivers to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Work with common carriers to meet delivery demands, ensuring that third-party transportation partners have the necessary routes, schedules, and instructions to complete deliveries efficiently.
• Coordinate and manage daily operations, including route planning, fuel delivery times, and driver assignments, while considering availability and capacity.
• Review inventories at dealer sites regularly to forecast future fuel delivery requirements, ensuring adequate supplies and avoiding runouts.
• Communicate with dealers to confirm delivery schedules, anticipate demand, and plan ahead for inventory needs.
• Communicate with drivers in real-time to provide updates on schedules, route changes, and any urgent issues or emergencies.
• Ensure drivers have all necessary paperwork and equipment, including delivery orders, fuel permits, and safety instructions.
• Respond promptly to any issues or delays that arise during fuel deliveries, including providing support for route changes, supply concerns, or mechanical problems.
• Ensure drivers and common carriers comply with all safety regulations and procedures, including handling hazardous materials and driving in various weather conditions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or experience in logistics or dispatching is a plus.
• Previous experience in a dispatching or logistics role, preferably in fuel hauling, transportation, or a related industry.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, fuel transportation safety procedures, and working with common carriers.
• Experience in reviewing inventory levels and forecasting future delivery needs.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage urgent situations effectively.
• Proficient in using dispatching software, GPS, and basic office software (Microsoft Office, etc.).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on safety and compliance.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of documents or materials (up to 25 lbs).
• Ability to work in an office environment, which may involve some noise and interruptions.
