INNOVATION INTERN en Kent Worldwide

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Innovation Intern to support both our Regulatory/Document Control and Laboratory Technical teams.

• This role is designed and intended to be performed in Bolingbrook, IL.
• The compensation range for this role is $19 to $21 per hour.
• You’ll gain hands-on experience in both regulatory and laboratory functions, exposure to real-world product development and compliance processes, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that support innovation at KENT Worldwide™.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Laboratory Technical Support

1. Assist with sample creation, primarily for color-related projects.
2. Perform analytical testing including:
1. Brix
2. Viscosity
3. Bulk Density
4. Specific Gravity
5. Colorimetry
3. Support recipe testing and potential new recipe development.
4. Maintain lab cleanliness and equipment (daily cleaning, bench wipe-downs, machine sanitation).
5. Replenish lab ingredients and supplies, and pull finished product samples from production as needed.

Regulatory / Document Control

• Assist with TraceGains uploads for ingredient documentation.
• Create and update final product specifications.
• Support documentation-related special projects based on current priorities.
• Coordinate and compile formula information.
• Provide general support including collecting missing information and assisting with basic regulatory tasks.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in both regulatory documentation and hands-on lab work.
