Mountain Cement Company, a subsidiary of Eagle Materials is seeking a qualified Mobile Equipment Mechanic.
General Requirements of a mobile equipment mechanic:
- 2 years experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, plus some formal training is preferred.
- Have diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel and gasoline engines and drive train components.
- Ability to use all welding equipment, i.e., Arc, Oxy/Act, Air Arc. preferred
- Have the ability to read schematics, both electrical and hydraulic, and be able to demonstrate this skill.
- Have an appropriate set of mechanic’s hand tools. (up to ¾ “ drive socket set and pneumatic impacts up to ½” drive)
- Be physically able to work with heavy components.
- Ability to perform repairs inside and outside during adverse weather.
- Ability to receive instructions and give instructions if necessary.
- Ability to work in the plant or wherever assigned.
- Be able to work day or swing shift.
- Be available to work some weekends on call (usually one per month)
- Ability to work with other personnel in a safe and professional manner, while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
- Learn Mountain Cement Company safety and employee policies and knowledge of MSHA standards.
- Must have good safety and attendance record.
