Mountain Cement Company, a subsidiary of Eagle Materials is seeking a qualified Mobile Equipment Mechanic.

General Requirements of a mobile equipment mechanic:

  1. 2 years experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, plus some formal training is preferred.
  2. Have diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel and gasoline engines and drive train components.
  3. Ability to use all welding equipment, i.e., Arc, Oxy/Act, Air Arc. preferred
  4. Have the ability to read schematics, both electrical and hydraulic, and be able to demonstrate this skill.
  5. Have an appropriate set of mechanic’s hand tools.  (up to ¾ “ drive socket set and pneumatic impacts up to ½” drive)
  6. Be physically able to work with heavy components.
  7. Ability to perform repairs inside and outside during adverse weather.
  8. Ability to receive instructions and give instructions if necessary.
  9. Ability to work in the plant or wherever assigned.
  10. Be able to work day or swing shift.
  11. Be available to work some weekends on call (usually one per month)
  12. Ability to work with other personnel in a safe and professional manner, while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
  13. Learn Mountain Cement Company safety and employee policies and knowledge of MSHA standards.
  14. Must have good safety and attendance record.
