Job Description
Reporting to the Environment & Community Superintendent, this role is responsible for supporting the operation to achieve and maintain positive community engagement and compliance with environmental obligations.
About the Role
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with external stakeholders, including government and the community
Support the implementation of HVO environmental management programs and plans, as contained in the EMS (including Air, Noise, Blasting, Waste, Water);
Develop and deliver environmental training packages
Coordinate environmental monitoring programmes and monitoring systems
Responsible for delivery of internal and external reporting obligations
Assist with audit programmes (internal and external) and undertake environmental inspections to verify environmental controls
Roster and Location
Permanent Part-Time - Up to 3 days/week, Monday to Friday roster
Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)
About You
To be successful in securing this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in environmental science / natural resources
Demonstrated environment and community management experience within the mining sector
Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to deliver often complex and technical environmental advice
A willingness to learn
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
