Summary
Responsible for performing functional testing of analog, digital, and microprocessor based systems to customer specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Electronic Technician I at AltekIncludes the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Perform testing of analog, digital, and microprocessor based systems
- Calibrate and maintain test fixtures
- Operate all test equipment including multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and function generators
- Operate programming devices
- Analyze and interpret test information to resolve issues
- Supports supervisors and/or operators in the resolution of quality problems
- Actively participates in quality initiatives by participating in problem solving, process improvements and performance measurements.
- Responsible for understanding & following company, and or manufacturing guidelines/procedures
- Responsible for product quality as defined by internal and external customers, work instructions, specifications and procedures.
- Responsible for following established safety rules & 6S
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read & understand assembly documentation, test procedures, and all inspection criteria
- Ability to operate all test equipment including multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, and programming devices
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
Education and/or Experience
- Must have a high school diploma /GED or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of one year of electronic technician or test related experience/training
- IPC 610 & 620 certification
Working Conditions: Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds.
