Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise infrastructure. This role is ideal for a professional with deep experience in network architecture, virtualization, enterprise storage, and backup systems. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and high-performing across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across multiple locations.
- Administer and optimize Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
- Manage and monitor virtualized environments (VMware/Hyper-V), including clustering and resource allocation.
- Oversee enterprise storage systems, including Pure Storage, NetApp, and IBM SAN, ensuring performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies using Veeam.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to support infrastructure projects and upgrades.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security best practices.
- Document configurations, procedures, and incident responses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in network and systems administration in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with:
- Network architecture and design
- VMware/Hyper-V virtualization
- Pure Storage, NetApp, and IBM SAN
- Veeam backup and recovery
- Windows Server and Active Directory
- Preferred certifications: VMware VCP, CCNP, Veeam VMCE, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multi-site network design and centralized internet connectivity.
- Familiarity with cloud integration (Azure AD, Office 365).
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Security-first mindset with experience in implementing preventative measures.
Work Environment:
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine
- This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
- The person in this position will be required to lift and move equipment (e.g., routers, switches, servers) — usually up to 25–50 lbs.
