We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Ideal Tridon Smyrna TN plant.

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday

Third Shift: 11:00pm-7:00am

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing and leading complex maintenance operations, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting mechanical projects to enhance uptime, reliability, and production efficiency. This role plays a key part in ensuring manufacturing operations run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines, conveyors, stamping presses, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions quickly and efficiently.
  • Lead or assist with major equipment repairs and minimize production downtime.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support to junior maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinate maintenance tasks and prioritize work to align with production needs.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Lead maintenance-related projects such as equipment upgrades, installations, or reconfigurations.
  • Track and manage project timelines, budgets, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports on all maintenance activities.
  •  Ensure strict adherence to company safety policies and industry best practices.
  •  Participate in safety audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage parts and supplies inventory; place orders as necessary to avoid shortages.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Maintenance Certificate and a minimum of 3 years of related experience, OR Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment without a certificate.
  •  Experience with mechanical stamping presses is preferred.
  •  Experience with Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley PLCs is strongly preferred.
  •  Expertise in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  •  Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  •  Familiarity with maintenance software, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  •  Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  •  Leadership experience and project coordination skills are a plus.
  •  Knowledge of industry safety standards and OSHA regulations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
  •  Ability to climb stairs and use ladders, lifts, or vehicles as needed.
  •  Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
  •  Willingness to work at heights or in confined spaces.
  •  Ability to work overtime is a must (Weekends included)
