Transportation Manager en Jazwares

As the Transportation Manager, you'll manage specialized programs for our large retail partners, ensuring seamless final-mile delivery to customers. This role is key in negotiating contracts with external providers to secure the best rates and terms. Beyond contracts, you'll build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to align transportation with company goals. You will also oversee parcel shipments, constantly driving improvements in speed, cost, and reliability.

What You Will Do: 

• Implement an overall strategy, metrics, and process to source the most cost-effective agreements for the company.
• Oversee critical transportation operations that support organizational goals and KPIs for product delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and select freight brokers, negotiate rates and service levels/terms, and monitor their performance. Review freight invoices to authorize payment or initiate the dispute process.
• Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify operational problems, and achieve high performance while minimizing chargebacks.
• Drive operational improvements to achieve business goals, streamline processes, and maximize operational performance for long-term growth.
• Continuously assesses and improves operational processes, systems, and performance metrics to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with corporate and warehouse leadership on the overall management of the distribution network.
• Manage all prepaid freight and small parcel labels for samples and tradeshows, both domestic and international.
• Oversee the timely and mandatory archiving of import documentation for specialized inbound customers, ensuring all regulatory and company compliance standards are met. This includes, but is not limited to, bills of lading, customs declarations, packing lists, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin. The process involves meticulous organization and secure storage of both physical and digital records to facilitate efficient retrieval for audits, customs inquiries, and internal reference.
• Regular training is provided to staff on proper documentation procedures and the importance of data integrity.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

Manages People: Yes; Provides mentorship, coaching, and guidance to employees and oversees inbound specialized activities.

What We Are Looking For: 

• A Bachelor's degree is required in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain operations, logistics, and inventory management. 
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Warehouse experience is preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states.
