Job Title
Operations & Product OrchestratorJob Description
So, who are we?
Hello, we’re IG Group. We are a publicly-traded FTSE250 FinTech company who run mobile, web and desktop platforms that help our clients trade stocks & shares, leveraged products, Futures & Options and Crypto.
We are ambitious. Over 340,000 people already use our platforms. We’re global with offices in 18 countries and products in 16 regions. We’re hungry to move faster, ship better product for our customers and grow our user base. We believe in high autonomy, and we want people who are looking to do things differently in order to create better experiences for our customers.
We work in cross-functional teams and are laser focused on increasing the number of active clients we serve to drive sustainable growth.
Your team
You'll be working directly with the Director of Operations at IG Australia, supporting delivery of our most critical growth initiatives. As our business and product suite expands, you'll be the coordination engine that keeps multiple strategic projects moving forward simultaneously.
Your role in the Team’s Success
As Operations & Product Orchestrator, you'll own the planning, coordination, and tracking that turns strategic initiatives into successful outcomes. You'll be hands-on with project administration - building plans, maintaining RAIDD logs, chasing inputs, and reporting progress - whilst facilitating collaboration across divisions and countries. This role sits at the intersection of execution and strategy, where your coordination work directly enables IG Australia's growth ambitions across core product developments, product innovation, and operational automation.
What you’ll do
Your days will be beautifully chaotic. One morning you might be deep in the weeds of an AI implementation, mapping out requirements and coordinating with global tech teams. By afternoon, you're facilitating a stakeholder meeting about a potential partnership opportunity, translating complex strategic concepts into actionable next steps. You'll spend significant time gathering project scope, but this isn't just admin work - you're the person who asks the right questions that others miss, who spots the dependencies that could derail timelines, and who keeps everyone aligned when competing priorities emerge.
You'll become the go-to person for getting things unstuck. When a project hits a roadblock, stakeholders will come to you because they know you'll dig into the details, understand the real issues, and find a path forward. You'll be switching between projects constantly but you'll thrive on this variety because each initiative teaches you something new about different parts of the business.
- Plan, track, and report on multiple concurrent projects spanning core product developments, innovative product initiatives including AI-powered trading solutions, and operational automation programmes
- Maintain comprehensive RAIDD logs, chase contributors for timely inputs, and ensure all project dependencies are visible and managed
- Organise and facilitate workshops with internal stakeholders and external partners, creating productive sessions that drive decisions and maintain momentum
- Coordinate activity and dependencies across IG Australia divisions and with teams in the UK and other countries to ensure seamless delivery
- Lead discovery work for operational automation opportunities - building the view of what can be automated and facilitating sessions with internal teams or external automation partners
- Provide clear, regular progress reporting to senior stakeholders, highlighting risks, blockers, and opportunities
What you’ll need for this role
Key Qualification Requirements:
- 3-5 years of hands-on project management or project coordination experience, ideally in financial services, technology, or similarly complex environments
- Proven track record in project planning, tracking, and administration - comfortable with the detail work that keeps projects on track
- Strong facilitation skills with ability to run productive workshops and coordinate across multiple stakeholders and divisions
- Excellent communication skills with experience managing competing priorities and maintaining stakeholder alignment
- Experience with change management principles and coordinating complex initiatives that span multiple teams or countries
- Natural organiser who thrives on bringing structure to complexity and isn't afraid to chase people for what's needed to keep projects moving
