About the opportunity

At Mercy Place Fernhill, we’re more than just an aged care home—we’re a compassionate community where staff are valued, supported, and empowered to deliver exceptional care. Located in the heart of Sandringham, our modern facility offers a beautiful coastal setting and a warm, inclusive workplace culture.

A Registered Nurse (RN) in aged care plays a critical leadership role in delivering safe, high-quality, and person-centred care to elderly residents. The RN is responsible for overseeing clinical care, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that each resident’s physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.

What you’ll bring

You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.

  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.

  • Build trust with residents, families, and colleagues through clear, compassionate communication.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs).

  • Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and compliance with AHPRA and aged care regulations.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • NDIS Clearance
