Role: Senior Manager, PLM Solution Architecture
Location: Kharadi, Pune

The Senior Manager PLM Solution Architecture is responsible to lead team of PLM architects to deliver solutions and services that measurably improve IT and the business R&D KPIs - while efficiently/effectively leveraging internal and external IT capability.
What will you be doing?
Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Execution:
- Lead the development and execution of the PLM roadmap in alignment with business priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, publish, and gain buy-in for strategic initiatives.
- Act as a strong negotiator and decision-maker, balancing trade-offs and driving consensus.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Manage a team of PLM architects, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Engage with stakeholders across R&D, Clinical, and IT to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Lead from the front—be hands-on when needed and inspire technical excellence.
Technical Expertise & Delivery
- Provide architectural oversight for PTC Windchill and integrated systems (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Drive data migration strategies from legacy PLM systems with a focus on data quality and integrity.
- Ensure architectural integrity and adherence to security and compliance standards.
- Oversee customization efforts including ESI Web and multi-CAD integrations.
Service & Operations Management:
- Ensure availability, reliability, and maintainability of Windchill applications.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate BAU service delivery.
- Monitor and improve service performance, outage response, and continuity planning.
Project & Enhancement Delivery:
- Lead agile delivery of projects and enhancements, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality targets are met.
- Operate a metrics-based management system to track and report progress.
- Collaborate with IT competency centers and shared services for efficient execution.
What will you need to be successful?
- Education: - Requires Bachelor's degree in computer science / information technology or equivalent experience.
- Licenses/ Certifications: Training/certification in ITIL, Agile, Project Management preferred.
- Experience: 18+ years of progressive experience in PTC Windchill or similar PLM platforms (e.g., Agile, eMatrix), with a strong focus on solution architecture, service delivery, and team leadership in global, complex environments.
- Proven track record of leading PLM initiatives in regulated industries, preferably MedTech, with deep understanding of compliance, validation, and documentation requirements.
- Extensive experience in managing PLM services across multiple geographies and sites, including vendor and partner coordination.
- Demonstrated success in data migration, system integration, and customization of PLM platforms, including CAD/CAE tools and design transfer systems.
- PLM Solution Leadership: Expertise in leading and supporting enterprise-grade PLM solutions (PTC Windchill, Agile, eMatrix), including integrations with CAD (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD), CAE, simulation, and design transfer tools.
- Service & Delivery Management: Strong command of ITIL disciplines and service lifecycle management, with experience in maintaining high availability, reliability, and performance of PLM systems.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Effective communicator and negotiator, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels to define, align, and execute strategic roadmaps.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to build and lead high-performing, collaborative teams.
- Maintains composure under pressure and fosters a culture of accountability and resilience.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Skilled in managing third-party service providers, ensuring delivery quality, compliance, and alignment with business goals.
- Global IT Operations: Experience managing IT services across multiple regions and time zones, ensuring consistent service delivery and operational excellence.
- Decision-Making & Prioritization: Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs, prioritize initiatives, and drive consensus across business and technical teams.
