Position Summary
The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of Leads and Allocators to ensure all warehouse functions are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with BWT policies. This role plays a critical part in maintaining high standards in receiving, dispatching, quality assurance, and inventory control. The Supervisor also ensures customer satisfaction and supports continuous improvement within the warehouse.
Adherence to BWT’s policies—including attendance, standards of conduct, and our Drug-Free Workplace Policy—is essential to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Leads to ensure workloads are completed accurately and on time
- Train clerks on essential documentation procedures to ensure process accuracy
- Hold team members accountable to job expectations and apply corrective actions per company policy
- Conduct quality checks to confirm adherence to company SOPs
- Address customer concerns and resolve production-related issues effectively
- Manage receiving, dispatching, and quality control processes to maintain high customer satisfaction
- Monitor and report on warehousing activities and employee performance
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas
- Ensure accuracy of shipments and inventory transactions
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and clearly communicate job expectations
- Determine staffing needs and delegate workloads appropriately
- Interface with customers to answer questions and resolve issues professionally
- Maintain accurate item records, documentation, and reporting to track warehouse status
- Identify inefficiencies and lead procedural improvements as needed
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices
- Highly organized and adaptable with strong time management skills
- Ability to think critically and implement solutions independently
Preferred Certifications
- Forklift Certification
- Train-the-Trainer Certification (or willingness and ability to obtain)
PPE Requirements
- Steel-toe boots required
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday | 3:30 PM - 12:00am (Overtime as needed during the week)
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00
Compensation and Benefits
Starts at $20.00 to $21.00/hour through a staffing agency with a 30-day evaluation period. Candidates who meet performance and attendance expectations may be considered for conversion to a full-time BWT employee.
