THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you passionate about creating safer workplaces and driving meaningful change? CS Energy is seeking a Health and Safety Specialist to join our Brisbane based team and play a pivotal role in shaping the health and safety culture across our operations.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high quality health and safety support to our sites, leading specialised projects, and enhancing our management systems. You’ll work closely with operational teams, leadership, and external stakeholders to implement fit for purpose solutions that meet legislative obligations and drive continuous improvement.
Duties include the below, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating health and safety activities for the Brisbane office and supporting CS Energy sites.
- Delivering strategic health and safety projects and initiatives
- Providing technical writing and support for health and safety procedures and management systems.
- Conducting timely data analysis to inform governance and decision-making.
- Supporting incident management and risk assessment processes.
- Leading improvement projects for health and safety systems.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners including contractors, government agencies, and emergency services.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Facilitating change management strategies to embed safety improvements.
- Participating in toolbox talks, safety shares, and promoting a proactive safety culture.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- A tertiary qualification in Health & Safety, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role with a strong safety focus.
- Experience working in a power station or similar industrial environment (highly regarded).
- Proven ability to lead and manage investigations effectively.
- Demonstrated success in achieving outcomes within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience developing and implementing effective change management and risk management strategies.
- A track record in delivering business plans and driving measurable improvements.
- Experience in emergency management or as part of an emergency control organisation (desirable).
- A current driver’s licence and the flexibility to travel to operational sites as required.
