Salary: Up to £44,900.00 FTE per year
(depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Goring Hall Hospital in West Sussex is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. 

We have an opportunity for a Practice Based Educator to join their team of staff in the Nursing department.

This is a part-time role for 30 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate training programmes to support staff induction, mandatory training, and clinical skills development.
  • Facilitate practical and theoretical learning sessions, simulations, and workshops aligned with current best practices and organisational needs.
  • Support staff to maintain clinical competencies, including revalidation preparation, clinical assessments, and reflective practice.
  • Act as a mentor and clinical educator for nursing staff, students, and newly qualified nurses.
  • Provide one-to-one and group support for staff undertaking training, apprenticeships, or return-to-practice programmes.
  • Identify individual learning needs and tailor development plans to build confidence and capability.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
  • Significant experience in a clinical nursing role including clinical supervision or PNA.
  • Experience delivering clinical teaching or supporting learning in practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to facilitate training, assess competencies, and support reflective practice.
  • Postgraduate teaching or education qualification (e.g., PGCert in Education, Mentorship, Practice Assessor).
  • Experience with training needs analysis, CPD planning, or clinical audit.
  • Knowledge of e-learning platforms, simulation-based learning, or digital training tools.
  • Experience working with student nurses or managing preceptorship programmes.
