Job Summary

The Interior Installer role prepares and installs interior parts of the aircraft. Trimming interior parts to the installed shape and build up interior sub-assemblies for installation.  Inspects and tests assembled parts and equipment to ensure fit, clearance, alignment, and functional performance comply with engineering drawings and specifications. 

Schedule: This is a first shift position M-Th; 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Overtime as required

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Proficient with Interior Installer II responsibilities plus
  • Expert of the necessary tools needed to perform the necessary installation of the required hardware.
  • Understands, reads, interprets and works from engineering drawings, blue prints, production illustrations and other specifications to determine the identity, location and relationship of aircraft parts.
  • Able to complete work instructions properly, understanding the planning flow and be able to adjust and explain the planning procedures.
  • Proficient in completing forms necessary to generate work and changes to work orders, pick lists, drawings, and other related documents.
  • Applies the 6S principle (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).
  • Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions. Keeps a clean and orderly work space.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Department Supervisor, Line Manager, or appropriate designee
  • Successfully collaborate with a wide audience during the development of new technologies, designs, and build efforts.

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Nonstructural bond check qualification
  • Interior Technician II skills and experience
  • Knowledge and experience in fixing cosmetic issues
  • Ability to work independently and make accurate process decisions
  • Ability to understand and resolve complex problems
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to effectively manage stress, including competing work demands and multiple projects at the same time.
  • Communicates progress to area lead and supervisor
  • Possess strong attention to detail and can examine completed work for accuracy.
