Description
Position Summary:
While upholding Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs), the Blending Operator mixes and blends products in a timely and efficient manner. The Blending Operator works a team member to complete jobs.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Set up and blenders efficiently and safely to mix or blend raw materials in accordance with specified formulas.
- Examine work orders for special instructions, proper packaging components and blending recipe while verifying the process order to actual formula for accuracy.
- Measure, weigh, and document ingredients in system while assisting other blending operators with product changeovers and loading of blender.
- Make adjustments and perform minor machine maintenance as necessary.
- Responsible for product quality while maintaining company standards and processes. Keep work area sanitary and orderly.
Requirements
Minimum:
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to conduct unit conversions, compute rate, ratio & percent
- Must be familiar with computers and have at least 1 year experience
- Experience working on a team to complete a job
- May require flexibility in scheduling
- Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 50lbs
Preferred:
- High school diploma
- Experience working in a dry food manufacturing environment
- 2+ years working on a computer (Microsoft Suite, Google)
