The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy’s Service Business as a Project Manager and take charge of high voltage service projects that are critical to the reliability and modernization of the power grid. In this role, you’ll manage projects from initiation through closeout, collaborating with technical, field, and engineering teams. You’ll coordinate resources, manage schedules and budgets, and solve complex challenges to deliver innovative solutions for utility and industrial customers. Your work will directly support the safe, efficient, and forward-looking operation of the power grid.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Lead the execution of high voltage service projects from planning through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to align project goals and resolve technical or logistical challenges.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates, managing expectations, and ensuring satisfaction.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, schedules, and risk management plans using industry-standard tools.
Oversee logistics for materials, equipment, and field service resources to ensure timely and safe project execution.
Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues to minimize impact on project outcomes.
Manage project financials, including cost forecasting, invoicing, and cash flow.
Support continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and sharing best practices across the team.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
Bachelor’s degree required.
10+ years’ experience in Commercial Operations or Project Management, with at least 3 years in a Service business environment.
PMI certification desired.
3+ years of people management experience.
Advanced knowledge of Excel; versatile with SharePoint and Power BI applications.
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt required; Green Belt preferred.
