Join the Dahl Automotive team at our Reconditioning Center in Onalaska, WI as a Used Vehicle Technician! You get guaranteed work for internal repairs to get our used cars on the lot ready for sale. This is a non-guest-facing location and you will have plenty to do to earn a solid income for you and your family. The pay range for this position is $62,000-$90,000 per year depending on experience, productivity and certifications! This is a Monday-Friday position - no weekends!
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough inspections on vehicles, and accurately suggest and execute repair work.
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Reconditioning Manager about any additional services needed.
- Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
Qualifications
- Previous technician experience
- ASE Certification preferred
- A-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
- Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
- Ambitious, hardworking presence in a team environment

- Basic computer skills
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
