The Instructional Designer supports the company’s Mission and Vision by driving consistency through the development of Learning materials for online, classroom/virtual, and hybrid formats. Materials can include courses, curriculum, guides, training manuals, and facilitator guides using a variety of design tools. The Instructional Designer follows a system of assessing needs, designing a process, developing materials, and evaluating their effectiveness. They will collaborate with the TreviPay Learning and Development team to identify learning and development opportunities and work directly with the Learning and Development Manager and/or the Learning and Development Business Partner to prioritize work and production needs. The ideal candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal skills, great written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize. Moreover, the ability to work in a dynamic and ambiguous environment is imperative.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
oDesign and develop learning Materials for in-person classroom, virtual, and hybrid formats
oUse eLearning authoring tools to build learning experiences that include assessments, interactive activities, animated videos, graphics and images, and text-based content.
oAnalyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design.
oProvide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process and follow adult learning principles.
oGather evaluation data from L&D training and design effective surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide metrics and analysis to leadership and or stakeholders.
oProvides analytical support for the design and development of training curriculum, learning strategies, educational policies, or courseware standards.
oProvide strategic and day-to-day guidance for curriculum development (eLearning and instructor-led), facilitator development, organization, and knowledge management.
oUtilize knowledge of industry best practices to improve upon existing training methods.
oAdvise on authoring tools and cost expectations.
oCoordinate development efforts to obtain content and timely reviews from stakeholders and subject matter experts.
oFacilitate training sessions, workshops, and learning events for diverse audiences, ensuring high levels of engagement and knowledge transfer
Required Qualifications
oBachelor's degree required.
o2-4 years of experience in Instructional Design and/or learning curriculum design.
oAt least 3-5 years of experience with learning content development tools, (Articulate 360; Storyline and Rise, Vyond or other animation tools, and Camtasia).
oProficiency in learning theories and instructional design models, and the ability to apply them in content design and development.
oStrong understanding of adult learning principles and learner engagement strategies
oProven record of lesson and curriculum planning skills that follow adult learning principles.
oBasic LMS and eLearning software knowledge.
oAbility to write effective copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts.
oStrong facilitation skills with the ability to engage cross-functional stakeholders, manage group dynamics, and drive consensus during design and feedback sessions.
