Position Overview:

Marketwake is seeking an experienced and strategic Social Media Manager to join our dynamic Organic Social Media team. This role will focus heavily on B2B clients across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and others — helping brands grow their presence, engage with audiences, and convert attention into action.

As a Social Media Manager, you will own client relationships, lead the execution of high-performing strategies, and collaborate cross-functionally with creative, design, and video teams to deliver exceptional social media results. This is a key position for someone who thrives on creative storytelling, understands the nuances of the B2B digital landscape, and can turn analytics into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and lead social media strategies that align with client goals, industry best practices, and audience insights.

  • Research B2B industry trends, competitor content, and platform updates to inform recommendations and creative direction.

  • Build and manage content calendars and posting schedules for multiple clients across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

  • Partner with internal creative teams to ensure content aligns with broader marketing initiatives and brand voice.

Content Creation and Management

  • Write and oversee creation of engaging content for B2B audiences — including social copy, short-form videos, carousels, and thought leadership posts.

  • Collaborate with designers and video editors to produce visually compelling assets optimized for each platform.

  • Repurpose long-form client content (e.g., blogs, webinars, or podcasts) into social-friendly formats that drive engagement and awareness.

  • Ensure all content aligns with platform best practices and brand identity guidelines.

Campaign Execution and Optimization

  • Lead organic campaign launches, social experiments, and creative activations that drive engagement and awareness.

  • Monitor campaign performance metrics, analyze outcomes, and proactively identify optimization opportunities to improve reach and engagement.

  • Stay agile and responsive to platform changes and trends to ensure client strategies remain innovative and effective.

Community Engagement and Thought Leadership

  • Manage community engagement — responding to comments, messages, and brand interactions in a timely, on-brand manner.

  • Encourage meaningful conversations that position clients as thought leaders in their industries.

  • Identify and nurture partnerships with influencers, advocates, and collaborators in relevant B2B spaces.

  • Stay on top of emerging platform trends and advise clients on strategic innovations.

Reporting and Insights

  • Develop detailed monthly and quarterly performance reports with data-driven insights and recommendations.

  • Analyze content performance across all platforms and translate findings into strategic next steps.

  • Present performance results and strategic recommendations directly to clients with confidence and clarity.

  • Benchmark client performance against competitors and industry standards to identify growth opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of hands-on social media management experience (agency experience strongly preferred).

  • Proven success managing B2B social media accounts, particularly on LinkedIn and other thought leadership-driven channels.

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to create engaging, professional, and on-brand content.

  • Familiarity with social media scheduling, analytics, and reporting tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, or native platform analytics).

  • Solid understanding of content strategy, audience targeting, and engagement tactics for organic social.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.

  • Collaborative, proactive, and eager to contribute to team growth and client success.

  • Experience guiding junior team members or collaborating in cross-departmental projects a plus.

  • Basic design or video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, etc.) are a plus.
