Central Valley has been voted among the Best Places to work in the North Bay by the North Bay Business Journal. We are currently seeking an Inventory Support Associate for our Napa facility.


The Inventory Support Associate maintains merchandising and stocking standards while optimizing inventory accuracy through continuous process improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs cycle counts and zero scans, daily, and posts total to inventory records, either manually or using a computer.
  • Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, merchandise, and computes inventory balance.
  • Reviews credits and invoices as needed. 
  • Researches negative inventory values, and inventory discrepancies with the assistance of stocking, receiving, and sales associates
  • Continuously communicates with department and store managers
  • Communicates information and responds to questions with customers, and other employees of the organization.
  • Participates in weekly Leader Standard Work meetings, providing inventory control updates to facility leadership and Inventory Control Managers.
  • Take action to reconcile inventory or transactional updates derived from the daily/weekly Leader Standard Work reports.
  • Ensures all product is properly stocked with all locations labeled
  • Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
  • Fills in to support store price label updates as needed.
  • Updates area bin location assignment in computer as needed.
  • Fill in and support in receiving, as needed.
  • Exhibits Brand Behaviors consistently.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, while planning the time, method, manner and/or performance sequence of own work
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Strong math skills
  • Proficient with MS Office (esp. Word, Excel and Outlook) required
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to collect and synthesize significant amounts of raw data, and compile with attention to detail and accuracy and simplicity of presentation
  • Ability and willingness to complete some moderately repetitive tasks
  • Professional presentation and demeanor
  • Ability to be assertive yet not abrasive, Able to instill process compliance 
  • Ability to influence others and gain buy-in from adjacent departments


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong internal and external customer service
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking 
  • Multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to execute processes
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Merchandising experience preferred
  • Experience with logistics and distribution highly desired
