The Scheduler is an in-office role responsible for managing design and development schedules for various complex, large-scale projects across Falcon’s portfolio of theme parks, hospitality venues, bespoke food & beverage and retail, and resort environments. Major job functions include the creation, monitoring, and maintenance of project schedules throughout all project phases while collaborating with various departments across Falcon’s studio, including Interior Design, BIM/Facility Architectural Design, Showset Design, 3D Arch-Vis, Unreal Engine Development, Narrative Design, and Project Management. In addition, the Scheduler will attend meetings with all project stakeholders, generate short-term and long-term schedule reports to share with client and senior leadership, and develop remediation plans if projects deviate from their original schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and coordinate studio schedules, ranging from high level project schedules to detailed production schedules
- Aid the team in prioritizing the order and dependencies of key tasks to establish the critical path to successful project completion.
- Track the resources assigned to certain tasks and ensure assignments align with project constraints and requirements.
- Evaluate potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project schedule and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with project team members to develop corrective plans if project deviates from schedule.
- Communicate regularly with project team members, senior company leadership, clients, and other stakeholders to report and explain schedule status.
- Responsible for dissemination of all schedule-related information to appropriate stakeholders.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have or be able to quickly acquire knowledge of company structure (mission, goals, and objectives), and policies and procedures.
- 2-4 years of project scheduling, project management, or related experience. Bachelor's in engineering, architecture or other technical degree from an accredited four-year program is preferable.
- Experience or familiarity with themed entertainment projects is preferred.
- Required proficiency in scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, as well as the Microsoft office Suite. Additional proficiency in tools such as Smartsheet is preferred.
- Attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in project scope & schedule.
- Ability to tactfully and confidently handle disagreements or conflicts related to project scheduling and propose solutions to solve the problem.
- Strong technical oral and written communication skills for a wide audience.
- Preferred familiarity of construction methods and industry and ability to read architectural and construction drawings.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, as project demands require.
- Must be comfortable with business-related international travel as project demands require.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.
