THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Medical Affairs Director, you will be at the forefront of shaping and executing the Medical Affairs strategy across all products within the Immunology & Specialty therapeutic areas. This high-impact role involves strategic leadership, customer-centricity, team empowerment, and operational excellence.
You will lead, inspire and empower a large team, whilst maintaining strong relationships with key external stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver value. Additionally, this role has a strong collaborative and cross-functional approach to ensure business goals are achieved whilst driving strategic initiatives, team performance, and improving patient outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive the vision and execution of Medical Affairs strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and patient needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, understanding their needs and delivering meaningful value.
- Promote a cross-functional approach, working closely with marketing, sales, regulatory affairs and broader teams to collectively achieve business goals.
- Lead, inspire, and develop large field and office-based teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, agility, and high performance.
- Maintain high level of quality, compliance and accountability
- Partner across functions to ensure strategic initiatives are successfully implemented and business goals are achieved.
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary education: Medical Degree (MD), PhD, or PharmD (mandatory)
- Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams.
- Experience navigating complex stakeholder networks, both internal and external.
- Proven track record of cross functional collaboration, working effectively across functions to deliver strategic initiatives and business outcomes.
- Ability to lead with agility and foster resilience within teams.
- Proven ability to lead and influence across diverse teams and functions, driving alignment and collaboration.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape with the ability to translate insights into impactful strategies.
- Patient and customer centricity with curiosity to understand and address the needs of patients and HCPs.
- Demonstrate Credo based leadership, ethical decision-making, and a strong compliance mindset in all aspects of leadership.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, delivering value through meaningful engagement.
- Strong strategic mindset with ability to see bigger picture, anticipate future needs and future focused strategies that are customer and outcome driven.
