Based at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde
Macquarie University is hiring for Learning Designers for our Student 360 Program. The Student 360 (S360) Phase 2 Program is a major component of Macquarie University’s digital transformation strategy.
As a Learning Designer, you will play a key role in designing and developing high-quality training solutions to enable business users to effectively operate new processes, data, reports and Salesforce CRM functionality. Working under the guidance of the Instructional Design Manager, you will develop eLearning, instructional videos, user guides and assessments that meet the diverse needs of our staff.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Instructional Design Manager, S360 Change Managers and Project Managers to analyse learning needs and design effective training solutions
Develop training plans, curricula, eLearning, videos, user guides and assessments to support staff capability and design learning materials according to best practice instructional design principles
Collaborate with Salesforce and other implementation partners to ensure accuracy and scalability of training
Support training delivery through train-the-trainer and end-user training as required
Ensure training documentation is accurate, up-to-date and compliant with MQ record management policies
Work collaboratively with S360 teams, project sponsors and university staff to deliver high-quality learning materials according to project timelines and scope
Ensure compliance with university health and safety policies and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture
About You
A relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through education, training and experience
At least 5 years’ experience in instructional/learning design with a proven track record of developing engaging, learner-centred digital content
Sound understanding of instructional design principles, frameworks and methodologies (including storyboarding, curriculum design and module development)
Proficiency in digital authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Rise) and experience with the use of various LMSs
Experience designing interactive learning modules and creating engaging animations and video content
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines
Commitment to Macquarie University’s values, policies, and health and safety responsibilities
Experience in developing learning content and materials for Salesforce or other CRM solutions (Desirable)
Related experience in the tertiary sector or public sector is advantageous (Desirable)
