MAJOR FUNCTION:
The Dispatch Coordinator reports to the Transportation Manager and oversees the dispatch operations to ensure timely, safe, and efficient transportation services for all PACE participants. This role assists the Manager to plan and monitor daily routes, support drivers, collaborate with scheduling department, address real-time transportation scheduling changes, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to meet participant care needs. The Dispatch Coordinator maintains accurate trip logs, ensures compliance with PACE program requirements and regulatory standards (42 CFR Part 460), and promotes a service culture focused on dignity, safety, and participant satisfaction.
As a multisite provider of PACE community-based services for seniors in Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties, an Inspira LIFE employee may work at either or both the Vineland or Williamstown LIFE Program as census changes or operational needs occur to meet the needs of our participants
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- High School graduate/GED
- Minimum of 1 year working with the frail or elderly
- NEMT transportation experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook,) and Internet
- Effective communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
- Able to work independently and take initiative without immediate local supervision.
- Multi-tasked oriented and possess good organizational skills
- Ability to problem solve and prioritize duties.
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in an emergency.
- Knowledge of safety requirements pertaining to the transportation industry.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
