Description
Position Summary:
The Janitor 2 is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment through the facility. This role performs cleaning interior and exterior perimeters, break areas, restrooms, plant area and other assigned areas to ensure a comfortable and sanity workplace for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, hallways, and other interior areas.
- Preform duties of Janitor 1 when needed
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors.
- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, windows, and other surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners.
- Refill paper products, soap dispensers, and other supplies as needed.
- Running floor sweeper
- Clean and maintain the exterior perimeter of the facility, including
- Sweeping sidewalks, entrances, and parking lot areas.
- Removing litter, debris, and leaves from outdoor areas.
- Cleaning exterior windows and doors.
- Monitoring and clearing snow or ice during winter months, if applicable.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- May assist in setting up or cleaning after events or meetings as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Forklift knowledge
- Bilingual Preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of janitorial or custodial experience.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks indoors and outdoors.
- Good attention to detail and time management skills.
