About Cadia


Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method. 


We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people, traditional custodians of the land surrounding Cadia, and proudly run an Indigenous Buddy Program to enrich the workplace experience our Indigenous employees. As a residential (drive-in / drive-out) mine, Cadia values community deeply, offering both financial and in-kind support to organizations across Blayney, Cabonne, and Orange townships. Who we are looking for

 

In this role you will lead a skilled team responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising concentrator plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. You’ll oversee daily maintenance activities, coordinate shutdown work, and support continuous improvement across the processing plant.

 

Other key responsibilities include:

 

·  Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians and contractors.

·  Plan and execute scheduled maintenance, breakdown response, and shutdown activities.

·  Ensure compliance with Newmont’s safety, environmental, and operational standards.

·  Monitor plant performance and collaborate with other departments to identify improvement opportunities.

·  Support the training, development, and mentoring of team members.

 

Qualifications and experience:

 

You will be an experienced supervisor or senior technician with a strong background in mineral processing. You have a proactive approach to safety, thrive in a team environment, and take pride in keeping equipment running smoothly.

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a processing environment
  • Sound knowledge of crushers, mills, conveyors, pumps, flotation cells, thickeners, etc.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

 

Please note: This is a permanent full-time role based in Orange and working on 7 days On/ 7 Off/ 7 nights On/ 7 Off roster.
